Our Providers

Our practice is comprised of board-certified pediatricians and nurse practitioners.  In addition to office based pediatric well care, our physicians bring of wealth of knowledge and are experienced in providing acute care.  We have provided care in the emergency room and newborn nursery and have stabilized ill children requiring transfer to a children's hospital.  We are experienced in attending high-risk deliveries and also in caring for infants in the intensive care nursery (ICN).
Whether your child is in need of a well child check or a visit for an acute illness- WE ARE HERE FOR YOU!

Specialized care

From the early days of PrimeCare Pediatrics, partners were responsible for the inpatient care of the Zanesville pediatric community.   As the pediatric community, number of premature births and newborn nursery census grew, so did the need for more specialized neonatal care.  PrimeCare partners Dr. Minnis and Dr. Miller were both interested in expanding the neonatal care in Zanesville.  They both came from extensive backgrounds in critical and neonatal care and in 1992 they established Ohio's first Level II Intensive Care Nursery (ICN)  staffed by pediatricians.  The ICN has grown in leaps and bounds since the early days and now routinely takes care of sick neonates requiring respiratory support including mechanical ventilation and surfactant administration while providing care for premature infants over 32 weeks gestation.  Their passion for and dedication to neonatal care and desire to keep pediatric patients Closer To Home is what has made neonatal care in Zanesville so successful.  But they could not have done it alone and PrimeCare would like to extend a sincere THANK YOU to the wonderful nurses throughout the years that have made pediatric and neonatal care so successful.

Rachel Graham

Rachel is a Zanesville, Ohio native who joined PrimeCare Pediatrics in 2019.  She received her Bachelors' degree from Ohio University Zanesville and later obtained her Masters degree in Nursing from The University of Toledo.  Rachel is passionate about pediatric preventive medicine and especially enjoys working with adolescents and patients who are new to the office.  Rachel enjoys family time with her husband, Lucas and her daughter Rosie.  She works hard to maintain an active lifestyle by running and being an active member of her Cross Fit community.

Kevin Miller

Dr. Miller attended Penn State University School of Medicine followed by pediatric residency at UVA.  As the former Medical Director of Hospital Pediatrics, he remains a strong pediatric advocate in the Zanesville community and proponent of improved school based services for children with developmental disabilities.  Dr. Miller is an avid golfer and he is married to his wife Tracy and they have 2 sons, Corey and Tyler.  He enjoys travel with his wife and is also and avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and longtime season ticket holder.

Steve Minnis

Dr. Minnis attended medical school and completed pediatric residency at Wright State University.  From the moment he arrived in Zanesville and joined PrimeCare, he knew that he wanted to  expand and improve the pediatric care that was provided at the hospital.  His passion for pediatric hospital based medicine was infectious and along with Dr. Miller, was responsible for the growth of the pediatric program in town.  Nowadays he enjoys farming and woodworking in his free time.  When not working the farm, he is busy spoiling his first grandchild Charlotte, a redheaded vivacious toddler.
